Politics Update #30: Sir Charles Walker MP: Moving on From Westminster

This update is a summary of a Primary event from last week featuring the senior backbench MP (and Administration Committee chair)  Sir Charles Walker. Charles spoke about his rationale for stepping down at the next election and offered criticism about the forces (such as SPADs and media ‘opposition’) he felt were negatively influencing recent government decisions. With input from other guests, he gave suggestions for areas new Truss government could focus on and how it might recover its reputation with voters.
